We, the undersigned grassroots members of the New Democratic Party of Canada, call on Jagmeet Singh to lead Canada's NDP.

Jagmeet Singh is the first turban-wearing Sikh Member of Provincial Parliament and deputy leader of the Ontario NDP.

He is a former criminal lawyer and competitive mixed martial artist. He holds degrees in biology and law. He is fluent in English, French, and Punjabi.

Jagmeet has a record of social activism that qualifies him to follow in the footsteps of Tommy Douglas and Jack Layton as leader of Canada’s NDP.

In the Ontario Legislature, he fought against the privatization of hydro, healthcare, and other essential social services.

As a lawyer, he defended our Charter rights, offering free legal rights seminars and pro-bono services to community organizations.

His principled service to the community and communication skills make him perfect to lead the NDP into today’s digital age.

As leader, Jagmeet would inspire the country and renew our faith in the NDP as a force for good in government.
