Having been in Australia a year and managing a busy restaurant I see a lot of young backpackers and holidaymakers come and go. I have made some fantastic friends who have gone on to travel around Australia and many have visited Fraser Island. Thankfully I haven't known anyone personally who has been injured or worse on these tours but safety measures have to be taken to ensure that Jade and the people she was travelling with haven't left us without making an impact. I hope this petition does make a difference.

I heard about this not so long ago when booking to do my Fraser Island trip when asking about whether we could drive,
With only being 19.. This is when he explained what had happened. Until today where me and my friend had a Facebook notification about this petition we didn't realise that we actually met jade and the bunch of her
friends when we stayed at brado's hostel in Sydney and we actually shared a dorm with them. I am so devastated, jade was such a lovely girl which she and her friends made us feel welcome in the dorm that we had been sharing. Knowing that I'm off to do the Fraser island trip Within the next month really worries me knowing something like this could happen. I am so sorry for the loss of daughter and friend. RIP x
