This is a tradition that all seniors look forward to. As a former Jack, it is also a way to link the former classes to the newer classes by following a long standing tradition. Let it continue!

It's a long standing tradition that is safe and good! I hope you don't change that!

I am very disappointed that this is even a topic that is being discussed. This is a tradition that all Seniors look forward too. And it is done in Good taste and painting a street does not hurt anyone or look trashy.

The spray painting of the street has been a tradition for many years and does not hurt anyone as long as they're not inhaling the fumes.

I agree expect for the chalk compromise. One of best things about the tradition is that your name is there for months. It's a matter of pride for family and friends to drive past and find their seniors name. That's just not doable with chalk.

Keep tradition alive we already have so many going out the window like Dru Gimlin let’s not let this one go out.

This tradition needs to continue for all to enjoy. I think a good compromise would be using chalk paint instead of spray paint. As a former graduate I enjoying seeing the names of the kids graduating every year, it is part of going to the homecoming football game.

Good grief, I would rather they paint or use chalk to continue this tradition instead of seeing gang graffitti.

I wholeheartedly support continuing this condition. We got to do it when we were seniors and it was so fun and something we all looked forward to doing. It’s a Quincy right of passage.

I believe seniors should continue this tradition. It is a privelage they've had for many years. I would sad to see this taken away!

This is one of the few traditions from high school that I still talk about. It is a great example of a community coming together to allow kids a chance to make their mark. I firmly believe that if you take creative, constructive outlets away from teenagers they will find destructive ways to engage with their community. This may seem like a small thing, but every positive interaction students have with their community increases their view of the town and people. Don't take away a harmless, fun tradition that helps students feel connected to Quincy.

Continuing this tradition will be an investment in the experience our students have at QHS. Let’s again do what is best for kids!
