This petition was made partly for a school project, but also because while doing the research, I became bothered. Bothered by the apathy that Canadian authorities, as well as many people, have towards the crimes against Native Women. Over 500 Native women have gone missing or been murdered in the last 20 years in Canada alone. Often times these cases are pushed to the backburner, simply because of who these women are.
