I/We Stand with Next STEPP

The Next STEPP Center is an important partner in the South St Petersburg community. The services they offer are a lifeline to the women and men who need it the most. These services uphold values that align with the values of the City of St. Pete and align with me, your resident and registered voter. I look forward to seeing our city council members VOTE YES to this critical funding of this wonderful organization The St Pete Pregnancy Center dba The Next STEPP Center. This is an opportunity for you to advance the needs of an underserved community that is even more challenged during this difficult time. This was the intended purpose of the federal covid relief funding.

Carole Alexander is an upstanding and outstanding person, who has run a valuable non-profit that provides vital services to a most-needy population - low income mothers. She should be held in the highest regard and afforded all we can give her and her organization to do their work. Privileged nay-sayers and detractors sitting in comfortable, well-funded homes and jobs - should 1) thank God that they occupy their position by the grace of God, and 2) be devoted to helping groups like Next Stepp do their work - not getting in their way. If the SSP-CRA was set up to support those that are helping those in need - Carlo and Next Stepp are the most deserving - please fund them - please quiet these nay-sayers

Please reconsider the great need of the Next STEPP program. It has been a vital resource to so many who may not have other options.

Next STEPP Pregnancy Center is a vital institution in South St. Petersburg. They should be funded because they provide information and resources that are needed by families.

Next STEPP is a key partner in our racial equity efforts with maternal and child health

Next STEPP provides so many life empowering tools and skills to young men, women and families who need these resources — St.. Pete City Council states they want to have a community that is empowered? ONE THAT STATES “WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS?” Then STAND with Next STEPP because their work is transparent, life changing and life affirming — participants come to understand their own value and God given worth — and then they pass this on to the next generation. This is community building; St. Pete City Council I STAND and SUPPORT Next STEPP and I live in St. Pete and I vote.

This is such a great cause!!!!

My thanks and prayers go out in support of Next STEPP Center. The work done there is God's work in assisting the Churches to accomplish what would otherwise be difficult, if not, impossible to do, but for the grace of God. I live and vote in St. Petersburg; I expect our leaders to represent ALL of us who depend on your decision-making for thriving at such a time as this.

Cutting funding to Next STEPP is cutting vital services to the Southside of St. Petersburg

If PLANNED PARENTHOOD did actually help expecting parents PLAN the course of action to step into parenthood instead of "how to get out of being a parent" THEY would use the planning strategies that NEXT STEPP uses. I invite all council members to contact me- I have given a child up for adoption as well as parent my daughter.

Know someone personally who is a part of this center. I know she would never be a part of any agency without the highest standards.

I am ashamed of my city counsel members! This is so important for our community. Next STEPP has provided so much for our community and needs funding to continue the amazing work being done in our community for those who would otherwise be lost and forgotten. Please reconsider this as a great need in our community.

This center is needed in the community, there are not enough places like this for teens, young adults and adults with little support from family.

I have been serving at the Next Stepp Center for 7 years. I know the families who have directly benefited from these vital services.

I am a registered voter in St Petersburg. I am in support of the Next Stepp Pregnancy Center. This program provides prenatal care, education, and support to women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. They are without health insurance or means to afford needed prenatal care to deliver a healthy baby.

I live and vote in St. Petersburg. NEXT STEPP is an important program for the women of St. Petersburg, They show unconditional love to everyone who enters their doors. The tools they give to young mothers is so important. I 100% support the NEXT STEPP center.
