The girls deserve it (for the great entertainment that they provide), the coaches deserve it (for all their hard work) and last but not least, the parents deserve it (for their amazing support) .......what better way to sign off a season for the Ivy League?

Long-overdue, for the Ivy League to be the last field hockey league without a tournament shows that change is needed if we want to compete with other schools in the NCAA tournament!

I often wondered why the Ivy League wasn't given the same opportunities as other leagues. They have to follow NCAA rules and also Ivy League rules which puts them at a big disadvantage when competing with the other conferences.

The Ivy League and the student-athletes would greatly benefit from a conference tournament.

This would be such a positive step forward for the growth of the game. The Ivy League is the only league within DI Field Hockey that does not have a post season tournament. It seems unfair that some sports within the Ivy League have a post season tournament but field hockey does not. This would not only benefit the dedicated student athletes but the Ivy League as a whole.

As someone who played D3 field hockey all four years of college, I can think of no viable reason to deny players the opportunity of a post-season tournament. Given my personal collegiate field hockey experience as well as the fact that I have friends and former teammates who currently play field hockey in the Ivy League Conference, I strongly support this petition.

Conference tournaments are a great opportunity to prep for NCAA tournament play and allow teams ranked #2-#4 a chance to extend their season into the post-season and compete for a championship!

As a parent of an Ivy Field Hockey player, I feel that a tournament is an important way for the student athletes to grow as competitors and players. Post-season play is a huge part of any league, it can only benefit the Universities and the athletes. These tournaments are a great source of pride and spirit for each of the leagues.

An Ivy League tournament would truly allow for the best competition possible for all sports and should be implemented across the board!

This would greatly enhance the spirit of the competition and reinforce the importance of the Leauge and its ideals.
