Fantastic period drama, why take something so good off the tele when there is so much rubbish that needs to be taken off . Series 3 needs to be shown , why put it on if you are not prepared to let it run through to its conclusion .

Great series so WHY change your mind on Series 3?? Leaving things on a cliffhanger is very unfair for viewers and if I had known that in the beginning I would not have watched it. Please change your minds. Disappointed viewer.

Please do NOT finish this brilliant series. We all need to know the outcome of the crashed plane, and all of the other brilliant things that have had us all tuning in every week for two series. At least finish off decently,mans not leave everything hanging in the air!

My wife and I are astounded that ITV choose to ignore the 6M views that watched Home Fires which will not return with a third series. When you've got a good thing going keep it going. Think of your viewers for once.

It is a foolish decision to not commission another series of Home Fires. I can honestly say it is rare that ITV does a period drama as well as the BBC but you did with Home Fires

Love this series and have followed it avidly. 6M plus viewers is a lot of viewers to just ignore and leave in the lurch. Bring on Series 3.

How can a drama that's getting viewing figures of 6 million be scrapped? Eastenders and Coronation St. are getting averages of 6.5 to 7.5 million and they've had over 2 decades at least to build that fan base!

Shocked and very upset that ITV have decided not to continue with this lovely wartime drama. So many cliff hangers, what are you thinking.
With all the rubbish on TV, it was so nice to have something like this to watch. Terrible decision.!!!!!
