Why wouldn't PBS continue Home Fires? Ratings were good, actors wanted to continue. It must be because of a behind the scenes conflict. Sad.

They should keep Homefires!! It's based on a hard time and tells the story of what those women went through and it tells the story of those who were left at home and who suffered. I believe it should be brought back for season 3.

Why cancel such a high quality, popular show as Home Fires? It beggars belief and, as a business model, this cancellation is ridiculous!
I challenge you, if you have another show of such quality, show us!
On the other hand, don't bother.
Why would we invest our viewing time and passion in another of your products, knowing that you might cancel it, leaving us hanging, half way through?
I only found out about this cancellation when I "googled" for info re S3 BECAUSE I COULDN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!
We like to trust our broadcasting services. YOU HAVE LOST THAT TRUST (and respect), well, unless you reverse your decision and bring S3 to the viewers. There is a ready-made audience waiting for the story to continue, guaranteeing you another success!

So disappointed - I've been so looking forward to the show returning! Here was nothing else like it that showed that particular piece of history through the eyes of normal citizens - we all loved it, and I think it's dreadful that it should have been cancelled. Boo boo :(

Can't believe Itv cancelled series 3 after that big cliffhanger.
Maybe they should cancel a lot of other rubbish that they keep renewing every year
feeling sad was looking forward to the new series to find out what happened to everybody but now we will never know...
