One of the best series to be commissioned by ITV for ages and they in their infinite wisdom are going to NOT shoot a third or fourth series, what muppets, can't believe it.

What a travesty to axe a show right at the most exciting part and leaving us all up in the air as to the fate of all the characters. So well written and acted. They keep the "dross" and axe the brilliant!!

ITV needs to think about the shows loyal viewer's. So fed up of channels cancelling shows without giving the viewers a proper ending to the show

Not just a great drama, but also educational as my 10 year old granddaughter enjoyed watching it as she had been learning about WWII at school.

It makes no sense to cancel this excellent drama. The end of series two left so many loose ends that a third run must have been intended. Why spoil everyone's pleasure by axing Home Fires...?

Not many programmes on t v that the whole family can sit and watch together. Fantastic acting and a great script and also informative about the war years. Please bring back for another series can not leave it on a cliff hanger.

Brilliant tv drama. Itv have made a very bad decision. Hoping the creators will find a more worthy channel to support them. Shame on you ITV.
