I expect news to be accurate. When supposedly quality press, such as Guardian, has news headlines stating a woman has committed rape - how then can we trust it's accuracy on any news story

Should have read a man masquerading as a woman. I don't give a toss about hurt feelings, we have the right to expect the truth.

It’s important for everyone to understand facts esp in criminal cases or when people are alerted of criminal activity to look for, sex, race, age all important. Be accurate!

I don't care what misleading language is used by the police or the courts (although they should be ashamed of themselves, too), but news organisations should be reporting the facts impartially. If the victim's transgender status is important, as in the Brianna Ghey case, then so should the offender's be. Anything else is bias and disinformation.

Journalist and media should report factual truth not fairy stories. Trans women are men who behave like men. Their crimes should not be reported as women's crimes. They are not women they are men saying they feel like women.

I find the equivocation over he/she and woman/transwoman extremely difficult to parse in media reports. I do not see how this is hard:
* If Scarlet Blake is his name use that.
* He is not and can never become a woman, so never call him that.
* Transwoman gives the impression he's a type of woman (perhaps a woman who identifies as a man), so "identifies as a woman" is clearer.
* Using she and her, as he is a male, is misleading as we use those words to talk about women, so just avoid them. Call him Blake.

The press should stick to facts. Otherwise we cannot believe a word the press say.
The lies need to STOP!
