I support this petition wholeheartedly having worked as a community and primary care pharmacist and in education over the last 43 years. I am now a local authority Councillor and sit on our Health and Social Care Committee. I have seen the effect that drug addiction has had in my area and fully support this petition.

Dundee needs an OPC and Scotland needs OPCs.
It’s time to quit stalling and get these in place already so we can tackle the wider issues like ending the war on drugs

We can get people into a safer space with support. Many other countries provide this and much more. In fact they are so successful in the Netherlands that they are closing some down due to lack of demand.
Yes, that’s in a country where all personal possession is decriminalised.
No one ever died in one of these facilities and many have found recovery
