this is seriously a rubbish petition.
1stly. if u saying escooter endanger people then how about bicycles? bicycles also can speed and some also cycle on road. why wanna target on escooter rider? not all escooter riders are irresponsible. dun turn white sheeps as the same as the black sheeps.
i agree with stricter rules for riders, same goes to cyclist. dun penalise all other riders where they really follow the rules and regulations.
ban is a no no as escooter is really a very convenient transport for short distance like traveling to work or going for groceries shopping etc etc.
why wanna ban this n that?? this really make life boring too!!!!!!

These machines are too fast and dangerous. Though it may not be all users but I believe a huge percentage are reckless with their power and speed. For the sake of the young and old. I am into banning escooters

Most of the riders will ride recklessly on the road that might cause accident. Most of them don't know the Highway Code which increase the risk of accident if they want to ride on the road.

A petitions to removed from walkways, is like having a petitions to removed pedestrians from the bicycle lanes. It is like for example, the singapore govt build a different path way for bicycle, scooters and etc however, lots of pedestrians chose to walk on that path instead. When they got injured by the riders, first thing is to complain instead of reflecting. But it is also not solely pedestrians fault, sometimes are those riders fault too. It only come to the conclusion that if each of us just give way and instead of having the mindset of "This is my grandpa road", it will be safe for everyone with none of this petitions going on. As these things happen only when there are these blacksheep among pedestrians and riders, who caused these ruckus dont you guys think?

It is not a nuisance. It is just the user of the scooter and those pedestrians who think the road is own by their grandfather problems. If each of them willing give way to each other, this will not happen.

The petition is gonna create more hate than solve problem. The authority is giving out strong hint that we must share whatever we have and we r going green. The problem is not to penalise responsible road and pathway users but to deter blacksheeps. Stop having the "not in my backyard"mentality.

Pedestrian are very reckless too. How many times I was had a close call with Reckless pedestrian who just stop at escalator or texting and walking and ignoring everyone and they behave the own the pavement . Pedestrian do not own the pavement but they share with other Pedestrian too. I have to start a petition to ban pedestrian who text while they walk and those who believe they own the pavement. Very soon Singapore will be called country who bans everything. We already have a stigma on chewing gum for being the only country in the world to ban chewing gum . Again the chewing gum did not do anything but the inconsiderate individuals. We need to ban individuals .

If we start to petition to ban e-scooters in Singapore then we should also begin another petition to ban Cars and motobikes in Singapore. I am amaze the number of time I had a close call with cars and motobikes who nearly run me over at the perdestrain crossing.
I believe it is not the escooter or cars or motorbike to be ban but the person who rides these vechiles should be ban. We Singaporean should not punish the innocent but should take a very strict approach on reckless riders or drivers. Whoever thinks banning is the right way then i hope the person should stop and rethink because he or she should ban their mobile phone since they are reckless too, when they walking and texting and do not care who is In front of them. Let's start ban mobile phone .

Can I start a petition to ban cars? Quite a few don't stop at zebra crossings even when they saw others approaching to cross. How about banning handphones? Many pedestrians too hooked to their phones when walking they don't even realised they are bumping into others? Are you 1 of them? Too selfish and irresponsible to share the pathways? Escooter users are pedestrians too.
