At times the riders r endangering everybody's life by riding fast on the pavements and roads. They treat them as a vehicle instead of a riding it safely. Hav cut into the lanes to over take road users on the road.

If they want to they should ONLY be allowed on roads ... NOT ANYWHERE ELSE.. AND BE LICENSED AND INSURED. IF ANYONE HAS TO DIE LET IT BE THEM AS IT IS THEIR CHOICE TO RIDE. NOT INNOCENT PEDESTRIANS ,CHILDREN, OLD AUNTIES GOING ABOUT THEIR DAILY LIVES.

Please ban these E-scooters sooner before more innocent pedestrians are injured or killed.

Even as a careful observer on many occasions, I have witnessed almost close collision and total disregard for public safety to both pedestrians and the riders themselves. Why is there hesitance to stop this dangerous nuisance or are there powerful interests at play?

They are equally dangerous on the roads and pedestrian areas. There is practically no sound when they come up to you, so was over knock over by them several times when just walking on the pavement. So terribly irresponsible.

Using pedestrian crossings or the road whichever traffic lights happens to be in their favour. Also, why are they so lazy to walk?

Actually I found it e scooter is much more dangerous then ebike cause escooter can cause much more harm to everyone . Firstly is about the speed. Secondly wat if the back flip and hit on someone what will it cause and ebike at least safter if u know how to use it well .. Maybe should increase the age for electric vehicles . Or get a proper train like what car and motorss have . For ebike rules I found it abit ridiculous due to pedal assist only . You might not know when the power is release sometimes 2 round release sometimes 1 or even more .. Cause once the power release is a max speed of the bike what if someone infront and the power release suddenly what will cause to pedestrian . Its safe if got trottle u can control your speed and u wont hit on to anyone . As I always walk on the street I saw alot aunty or uncle almost bang to someone when they using pedal assist .i think lta should consider . Not everyone is reckless not everyone . Pedal assist spped is much more faster then trottle .

For the safety of pedestrians and escooter users and also in view that legislation is difficult to implement and enforce, hope that this ban will really go through.

I agree it is dangerous for pedestrains, and a pain in the ass for motorists. But there are safe riders that obey the rules too. escooters have a lesser rate of carbon emissions, and it doenst use fossil fuels, this can help reduce the rate of global warming, and travel from A to B at a faster rate. Escooter riders just need to obey rules to create a safer place for singaporeans. If escooters were banned, what will happen to all the escooters bought in singapore before the ban? We just need to educate escooter riders.

Yes please ban them for the sake of us pesdestrains' safety. Humans are too toxic and stuck up to conform to safety.

Too dangerous for PCN users too, they just speed through as if there's no one in the park.

Its basic common sense...any vehicles going at speeds which are too fast for walkways naturally should be on roads..and it makes sense for them to be licensed, taxed and for the riders to undergo and pass a certain test on traffuc safety and road signs..
