Banning e scooter would cause some unemployment, affect businesses innovation capability, resulting to unhappiness to business owners and technical workers, dropped in sales and increase bankruptcies but I have witnessed at least 2 incident a month relating to e-scooters, causing harm to pedestrains. E scooter is like a fast moving weapon on the road. Please ban it for the safety of the residents and not because it will hurt business/unemployment rate/ other government KPI and turning a blind eye to it. Please help and make Singapore a safer place to live in!

There are so many accidents caused by e scooters. For the safety of the pedestrians, we need to put stop to these e bikes.

Almost all the riders do not care about the pedestrians lives when they dashed pass, even when elderly people are walking. Bicycles on pedestrians pavement shod be banned and fined also. Too many such cyclists around.

I had a few near misses - escooters speeding without slowing down. I worried for my almost 90-year old mum.

Another type of "road bully" but in pedestrian walkways. The pedestrian walkways are congested enough so remove this before more damages are done!

Too many injuries and pavement are no longer safe. I was nearly knock down a few times. These scooters were zooming pass at high speed from behind. We can avoid them from the front, but there is no way to avoid them from behind. These e scooters are also a liability to healthy living. If the health promotion board is encouraging people to exercise by walking, then the existence of e scooter is a nuisance to both the people exercising outside and also to the entire healthy living project. Please let singapore be a safe place, walking a few more steps or 10 thousand steps won’t hurt, but getting knock down by an e scooter can cost your life. Please ban them before more damage is done.

With e-scooters on pedestrian paths, the pedestrian paths are no longer safe for pedestrians. When e-scooters are on the roads, they are hazardous for the cars. Please ban e-scooters in Singapore and keep the pedestrian path safe for the children and elderly.

There are motorised and non-motorised transportations. Motorised transportation must be regulated and must use public road. Pedestrians and bicycles are non-motorised modes of transport who can use footpaths and cycle tracks. These footpaths and cycle tracks are not for motorised e-scooters!!! Allowing e-scooters to mix with pedestrians and cyclists presents a huge safety risk, especially to the elderly and young children. There are already a number of accidents, including one today (13 Apr 2018) where the victim is a 6-year old boy. E-SCOOTERS ARE DANGEROUS TO THE PUBLIC AND SHOULD BE BANNED WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY.

These PMDs should be banned as a hazard to humanity. Or severely limit their speed to less than a normal human walking speed. Being meant as a mobility device I do not see the need for them to move as fast as a motorized vehicles.

I’ve seen more brash and rude riders than responsible ones. Escooters are motorbikes on pedestrian walkways. Cannot wait for a child to die from being hit by one before taking action.
