Too many accidents caused by the users who cannot be trusted to be considerate to others.

Yes, e-scooters should be banned as there are already many accidents. The riders are also very self-centred and rude!

The riders do not exhibit care for others esp. pedestrians. There's no way to "educate" them... just look at the indiscriminate bike parking as example.

escooters should be banned from pedestrian footpaths. Spore is still not a civic-conscious society.

if PMD is welcomed as the last mile connectivity that eventually help reduce stress on public transport system; road use and air pollution. government should responsibile an adequate infrastructure to ensure safety of pedestrian by providing a clear divided path for both user and further refine necessary rules and regulations.

E-scooters pose a danger to pedestrians, especially the elderly & children as well as motorists. They should be totally banned, regardless of any speed limit being set.

Safety is first and paramount in all instances. The rationale is to prevent grievous physical injury. Riding E-scooters, let alone those who abuse them, has a beyond a reasonable doubt, a more than high probabilities to knock down pedestrians given the speed at which these machines can travel in an aging population nation like Singapore. Accidents caused by e-scooters have been increasing with serious repercussions in some cases. In science, you need 2 human errors to cause a catastrophe/accident in a given event/ situation. In this instance, we have these e-scooters going on substantial speed [first human error] and to sanction its use on footpaths [second human error] and such pedestrians using footpaths, mostly children and elderly due to aging nation like Singapore, are susceptible to reasonably, foreseeable consequences of grievous physical injuries in a collision.

Pedestrians should have right of way and be able to safely use footpaths. If young riders are the ones that are not considerate, then have a minimum age limit for EMDs.

The government needs to ban e-scoooter now to protect the pedestrians! The education approach is not working and enforcement on the ground is not achieving the impact, with so many accidents. It also appears ironic when HPB is encouraging people to be healthy by walking at least 10,000 steps a day, but pedestrian have to be wary of e-scooter while walking in case they get hit and got injured! Also, how abt those e-scooter riders, aren’t we denying them to opportunity to walk more, stay healthy and support HPB campaign!

Put them back on the roads and let them deal with the consequences of being unsafe riders.

Pls ban, the chances of accidents is way too high to be acceptable. A person will never die from NOT riding an escooter, but a person may die from getting hit by an escooter.

Please ban it before another another accident takes place.

Singapore, being such a small country with narrow footpaths, is not suitable for e-scooters unlike other countries that have the luxury of space. Unless and until LTA can rebuild all roads with separate e-scooter lanes in Singapore, e-scooters are extremely dangerous for pedestrians, especially in a fast ageing society. I sincerely appeal to LTA to ban e-scooter and make Singapore safe again. Thank you.
