I strongly urge to ban e-scooter immediately. With the increasing of accidents that pose danger to the pedestrians. Although LTA can impose strict safety regulations but whether pedestrian adhere to it. Even the safety advocate also bring hit by the e-scooter .
Unless LTA can open a pathway separately for e-scooter for every streets in Singapore otherwise pls ban it totally .
I am concerned for the safety of the pedestrians. It is better to be safe than sorry.

To ban is another thing, there are some are responsible, they need to cheap transportation to help family income etc... I wish strict law to step in to deal with those blacksheeps .

It is with regret that I am supporting this petition. The technology has promising development which is why I believe the government is reluctant to pull a fullstop.
However, the users are too immature to ensure a safe usage. Call me paranoid. These days, I have to look left right before I step out onto pavement. When I jog, I have to always look and listen out for the PMDs (some of them don't even turn on headlights nor beep in advance). I no longer bring my kid to the PCN. I'm always carrying him at the park, and if I let him walk or run around, I am always looking out for those silent killers.
I cannot imagine the kind of financial shock that the family of victims of such accidents have to go throught. Take for example, the lady who suffered a 1 month coma + possibly irreversible brain damage; the teenager who lost some teeth and had to do a jaw alignment. To say these treatments are not cheap is really an understatement.
