It is time this was done as it is causing conflict and divide in families. What I don’t understand is that we are meant to follow the nearest Muslim county and we don’t, instead Saudi Arabia is followed however when it comes to hajj and eid I have seen in recent years eid is on a separate day to Saudi Arabia. How to do we follow them for one eid and not the other it makes no sense. Islam was once the most forward thinking religion that gave us a welfare system, philosophy and so much more yet we are making it archaic

I would like to see one eid, it's a joke when relatives are celebrating on different day, also a husband and wife will celebrate on different days If from different backgrounds.

We need to unify today more than ever. We need our scholars in the UK to explain & educate muslims in the UK about the science & traditions around moon sighting.

Spot on, we need to follow the moon sighting as Prophet ﷺ prescribed not follow predetermined Ummal Qura calendar like Saudi does.
