I am Retired Navy and have first hand knowledge of the issues facing our aviators in landing on ships at night. These men and women need all the quality training they can get in order to stay safe. OLF Coupeville and NAS Whidbey are an important and integral part of this training and need to stay and be fully supported. Expansion of military hardware that is proven successful is also needed to keep our country safe. So the addition of more EA-18G aircraft is certainly supported on my part.

The Navy needs to be allowed to train the carrier aircrews in the EA-18G in the best manner, meaning using OLF Coupeville practice carrier landings at night. Also the Navy needs to be able to expand in fleet of Growlers to meet the ever increasing dangers and challenges.

My wife and I have lived in the OLF Coupeville noise zone for more than 30 years. Bounce practice at OLF Coupeville is part of life in central Whidbey and I fully support continued use of this facility. The Navy is good for Whidbey Island and Whidbey Island is good for the Navy.

Whidbey Island / Coupeville OLF and associated training ranges are key to the success of the US Navy. It is imperative that this training site be retained and maintained in order to create the highest level of training for flight crews. In addition , economically the Pacific Northwest needs this complex.

Imperative that the training site be retained in order to create the highest level of training for flight crews. With out such capability, the entire Navy establishment becomes vulnerable to closing>

I will do anything to help support NASWI, our troops, and their families. Shame on those who do not, and have not until now.
