Issues with Cory Dobos
I (as a student of Mr. Dobos) believe that Cory Dobos:
-Has an extremely flawed grading system that does not reflect the level of understanding we have. Takes off points for meaningless/unclear reasons (formatting, extremely tiny and irrelevent "errors", etc.), has no chance of redoing, has Unclear/vague instructions or tasks, and has inconsistent grading policies
-Does not use much, if any, class time to teach students.
-Does not have any empathy for his students
-Does not sincerely care whether or not his students succeed
-Does not take any responsibility for when students perform below his standards. Does not self-reflect on what he as a teacher could have done to help and guide us; instead puts all the blame on students
-Is never willing to concede he might be wrong when confronted by a student. Always doubles down on his original argument (however nonsensical it may be) without addressing the concerns of the student.
-Is rarely willing to answer something or explain it twice. He doesn't have patience for his student's learning speeds or abilities, often gets mad when he thinks we should be profficient in something that we are not (although this is a direct result of his poor teaching).
