Coral reefs are dying the world over, and they are the source of oceanic fish and other organisms, in effect this will create an ocean devoid of life. Global Warming is stopping recovery from stress and must be stopped.

As a marine biologist and conservation advocate what we really need is official authorities to stay true to their promises. What they discuss at their conventions can't be just words, they need ACTION!

I live at Jervis Bay NSW and belong to Save Our Sanctuaries. I work in the visitors centre at the Maritime Museum and host overseas visitors. The visitors are in awe of our beautiful coastlines and can't believe we would put them at risk.

I direct the Alliance for Tompotika Conservation (ALTO) working in Indonesia at the heart of the Coral Triangle. We are witnessing the destruction of corals every day. In our area, this is literally a matter of life and death: as corals die, wildlife and people in our area go with them.
