I am here to help make the difference in our oceans and the coral reefs.

Very few things, if anything, are more important than the health of the oceans. Whatever it takes for us to change our behavior, it must be done.

I fully support commitments to limit or reduce CO2 levels, not only for the benefit of coral reefs, but for all ecosystem and human societies.

Coral reefs host so much biodiversity that it is almost impossible to quantify how much we would lose if we continue to keep our carbon dioxide usage at current levels.

Member ISRS, PhD. Willing to pay more for goods & services that are carbon-neutral or remove atmospheric CO2. Determined to oppose politicians who tolerate business-as-usual. Confident that focused effort can be staggeringly successful.

The International Society for Reef Studies (ISRS) is the international association to which coral reef scientists and managers belong. Corals are uniquely sensitive to climate change and the society has become increasingly alarmed at the extent to which elevated ocean temperatures are killing corals (through a process known as coral bleaching that is often associated with coral disease) and devastating highly biodiverse and economically valuable coral reef ecosystems.
