It is good to see the climate-change sceptics on the back foot but recognition of the seriousness of the plight of coral reefs has scarcely sunk in, even among those who should be well informed and/or who should have an interest (e.g. divers)

JSPS Post-doctoral fellow University of the Ryukyus I am a marine geology PhD specializing in coral reef sedimentation processes. The level of threat coral reefs currently is greater than at any time in their long geological history. This is mostly due to human-induced local and global stresses. However, we can also make a difference and stop this trend if we act now.
