Thanks Pete, In trying to minimize the risk of "asking" the city to deem new and more rules necessary, I am trying to keep this as simple and succinct as possible. However, due to concerns over other conveyances (work trailers, RVs, etc) outside of boats and boat trailers, I did re-write some of this petition to specifically ask for waivers with respect to boat trailers and boats inside of property lines. This would maintain the existing limits on street parking for any and all vehicles and thus eliminate the need to address this at this time.

Yes. We will be verifying signatures, names and addresses before submitting the petition to the city. We may in fact, have to get written signatures, but before doing so, and putting in the time and labor, I wanted to see how many are in favor of this. Thanks for your feedback. We need 60% of residents to put this forward. More for a solid success.

I would like to see a limit to how long boat trailers with or without boats are kept on the street...same for RV's and commercial trailers. 1 week would be my suggestion

It would seem that in order for this petition to be valid/meaningful it would need a verified address.

This is definitely wrong in our community to hassle boaters.

I lived here since 2001. I've had both boats and trailers parked in front of my house beside my house in my driveway with no problems. We have new people moving in and I don't know where they're coming from but that has to be what is originating all these calls for the parking police.
