Island Arts Restrictions Set By Town of North Hero D.R.B.

i have participated over 30 years at island arts activities.highly impressed with their qualities.your assistance will be appreciated.

If other places that hold events are allowed to have them until 9 or 10pm, I don't see why the Island Arts can't. As a community, I only see this as a positive...

assuming there have been no issues with the operations at the Homer Knight Barn, i see no need for such stringent restrictions.

I feel the isIands need to have a place for the mulit cultural events that are offer to the public without limiting the hours.

We are fortunate to have this venue, and we need to remove restrictions that prohibit evening fundraising events.

This venue needs to be active and alive to be at its best. The 7pm restriction is perhaps an oversight in the Board's planning for active and engaged ccommunity activities.

I would ask the D.R.B. to reconsider their limitations and expand all avenues for the Island Arts initiatives to meet with success and remain a vital part of the North Hero community.

I believe that the early evening restrictions on operating hours are an unnecessary. If they are retained, they will seriously impair Island Arts' ability to serve the community. Please reconsider.

Why on earth would any reasonable person or entity place a 7PM restriction on the use of this facility?

Island Arts organization has been a cornerstone of wonderful events bringing cultural experiences, music and dance to Grand Isle County residents and bringing tourists that are good for our economy. School children are benefiting from scholarships for music lessons and instruments.

This restriction is counter productive and unnecessary.

Homer Knight Barn was specifically purchased for the expressed use of bringing the Art's to the people of the Island's and visitors from outside our community. I very much support this use to draw visitors in and to enhance the already Artsy feel of our Island community and to draw in the youth who need healthy venues. Please allow unlimited use of the barn to the Art's. Thank you

This is a vital part of the community and draws many a visitor to the islands as well. Onward.

Island Arts has a vibrant future, contributing to the health of the community, but only if this find organization can provide opportunities for people near and far to support it. The DRB ruling on Island Arts' hours of operation is shortsighted and unreasonable.

What is made available to the community by this beautiful facility is fantastic. For it to be underused, or, to even become defunct, would be a definite tragedy. Please keep this venue and the nourishment of the arts alive and well in this location!
