I strongly support this petition regarding islamic slaughter. If islamic slaughtering is jeopardised in anyway, the Muslim community will have no option but to stop eating meat, which will effect the economy adversely

Islamic way of slaughtering is more humane than western stunning of animals. this can be proven through contemporary research. Besides we all have a right to act on our beliefs, don't we? are not human?

Muslims should be allowed to slaughter animals for the sole purpose of providing meat for human consumption. This should be done according to shariah law which does not allow for stunning. Other faiths are allowed to slaughter according to their religious beliefs so why should muslims be excluded from practiising their religion. The objective of slaughter under shariah law is always to cause minimal distress to the animal and should not be in eyesight of other animals.

stunning in itself is not an issue provided the animal does not die as a result. Kosher or Halal is not the issue, we should stand for the principle not the brand. either of them should be made readily available for those who opt to consume them.

Why can Jews in this country have kosher meat which consists of slaughtering the animal so why Muslims have halal meat where the animal is slaughtered. Muslims need to wake up and fight for your rights. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT HAVE DOUBLE STANDRDS!!!!!!
