Recently at the Islamic Center of Irving, a formerly employed security guard, Syed Humzah Hashmi, was arrested for accusations of sodomizing a 3rd grade boy. While Hashmi is now released on bail, shortly after his arrest, his victim may undergo emotional and/or physical trauma. The incident allegedly occurred from the time frame of August 2016 to June 2017 and is only now released in the press. We are demanding transparency of the board, placement of preventative measures, and counseling for the students that may have been affected.
