Seriously? One step forward - finally getting rid of the Cleveland baseball mascot - and two steps backwards with this idea. We don't want our children - or anyone else's children - to associate alcohol with our people. Don't you realize that this beer will be the only "Iroquois" most Americans will know? I am of Mohawk descent, and I will never buy your products.

As an educator at a public university, I deplore this unthinking marketing ploy. You would probably not consider giving away free assault rifles as a promotion in the wake of the school shootings recently past. What in the name of heaven allows you to think that putting the name of a community that has been ravaged by the terrible effects of alcohol addiction on a beer bottle, was in any way a classy move? Please do better.

I am a Buffalo resident of Tuscarora descent. In addition to the important points made in the petition, it is also worth noting that the 1842 date of the beer coincides with the 1842 compromise Treaty of Buffalo Creek that took place under questionable circumstances and dispossessed Senecas of their reservation territory at Buffalo Creek in what is now South Buffalo and the south towns.
