Resignation for Defence forces personal who served during the Troubles 1968 1998 Members of Defence Forces preformed Duties to keep the State safe during the “Troubles” with little or no support from the Government using substandard equipment and facilities, Some time being deprived of the basic comforts required for human existence. Being left on the side of the road and in inhospitable locations, in very in-clement weather, while other members of the security forces were withdrawn to hotels or other facilities. WE preformed our Duties without complaint in the service of the State, proud and steadfast.
