The HSE has confirmed that they will implement the improvements to breast health access which we identified in our petition. I am grateful for the collective resolve shown by the two hundred ninety two people who joined this effort. We must remain vigilant to ensure these new standards are maintained …

WE THE UNDERSIGNED demand that the HSE address and correct the appalling lack of timely access to adequate breast health care in Ireland. Specifically, we call for the following: ONE, widespread, rapid local access to diagnostic services and equipment for timely response to GP referrals; TWO, a faster and more streamlined referral system; THREE, a one year timetable for nationwide roll out of BreastCheck for women 50 - 64 and an end to the North/South divide in access to this service; FOUR, an increase in the number of consultants available to women for diagnosis and treatment, regardless of hiring freezes and negotiation status. We call on Mary Harney and the HSE to stop putting women\'s lives at risk through inadequate access to basic breast care equipment, staff and services. We demand better access to breast health care, now.

Too many women losing time waiting for appointments. Just do the right thing and fix it.

My own aunt waited months for her results. It is an absolute disgrace how we are treated in this country.

Every woman deserves quick access to screening. Stop making us fight for basic health care.

I had to travel way too far for my scan. We need local services now.

Scandalous that your location decides how fast you get checked. Healthcare should be the same everywhere.
