Dear Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: I call upon you to immediately reverse the misguided policy at our embassy in Amman, Jordan, where Christian Iraqi citizens -- many of whom served as translators, cooks, and contract workers for the American government and Armed Forces -- are required to deal with the United Nations in order to apply for resettlement in the United States. These families were forced to leave their homeland due to threats from Muslim extremists, then stuck in refugee limbo in Jordan. And to top it off, they must deal with Muslim employees of the UN . . . employees who routinely deny them their rights and blackball them simply because they are Christian. These families, who risked their lives by helping the United States in Iraq, must be allowed to deal directly with our embassy in Amman. Please, Secretary Clinton, issue a directive ordering the embassy personnel to review and approve the applications of these brave families who have sacrificed so much for freedom in Iraq.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are just as frustrated as I am regarding how these families are being treated in Jordan. It is honestly keeping me up at night reading these accounts of people who helped us and are now just left to deal with such unfair hurdles at the UN offices. I am currently drafting a more formal package of all these signatures to send over because someone has to actually acknowledge the reality of what is happening on the ground.

I was just looking at the count and realized we are hovering right near one hundred names which is honestly wild since I started this on a whim but we really have to keep this momentum going if we want someone in the State Department to actually blink. If you have a second please just ping this to someone who hasn't seen it yet because hitting that first big milestone might be exactly what we need to get some attention finally.

Greetings in our Lord brothers and sisters in Christ, Please listen to this short powerful message of the Cardinal Wuerl's closing remarks from yesterday's Catholic University opening Mass of the Holy Spirit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kujTZbwOMcc&feature=youtu.be Cardinal Wuerl: Where are the Voices? Solidarity with Persecuted Iraqis & Syrians Atrocity happen because those who commit them and those who simply remain silent. Let us live for God alone, love Jesus without limit and “cry the Gospel with our whole life.” Blessings, Sam

God bless these people and I hope someone finally listens. We left them behind.

These people put their lives on the line for us and this is how we repay them? Truly shameful. Praying for them tonight.

How can we let this happen? They helped American soldiers and now they are being pushed aside by the UN. Just wrong.

WE NEED TO PROTECT OUR OWN! These folks helped our troops and deserve better than being stuck in limbo. Fix this now.
