This is a petition filed by Iranian refugees and asylum seekers resident in Indonesia. The helpless people who flew from the tyranny of the ruling regime in Iran and migrated to have a safe and secure lifestyle, but has been tortured and oppressed by discrimination and inequality in Indonesia.

We believe that all people, regardless of their race, color, gender, language, religion or belief, should enjoy equal rights.

We Iranian refugees and asylum seekers protest the performance of the UNHCR in Indonesia and we consider the process of examining cases for Iranian nationality as discriminatory. The process indeed takes a very long time for Iranians and, we have been witnessing numerous cases of discrimination between Iranians and other nationalities in the process of reviewing cases.
The status of Iranian asylum seekers and refugees who live in different cities in Indonesia since 2012 and 2013 are as follows:

1) Asylum seekers who have been registered with UNHCR for 3 years and have not received any notice for an RSD interview.

2) The asylum seekers who were not accepted in the first interview, are kept waiting over 4 years in uncertainty, and have received no news or response. These people will be rejected for the second time without any interview or chance to defend themselves. And if they do not want to return to their country because of the fear and/or the danger that threatens them in their home country, they will be imprisoned forever in this country.

3) Refugees who have been waiting over 4 years, in spite of being accepted as refugees by UNHCR, and no country has been considered for their resettlement so far. And the UNHCR's response to their complaint (as to why they are not being introduced to any third country) is that third countries do not accept Iranian refugees.

We have been living in uncertainty and being unaware of the progress of our processes for years, all the while UNHCR, the Representative of United Nations, has not been responsive.

Moreover, as refugees we should have the right to have an Iranian interpreter in the process of examining our cases. But Iranian asylum seekers and refugees have been deprived of this right. In Indonesia Afghan interpreters carry out the interpretation job, which has led to a lot of problems, including the rejection of many Iranians since Afghans’ dialect and accent is very different from Iranians’.

We cannot have a safe and peaceful life because we are deprived of basic rights.
We're having trouble providing our subsistence, the Indonesian government does not allow us to work, our children are not allowed to study, we do not have the right to move between cities and in fact we are just imprisoned in a city.
We demand a fair, just and non-discriminatory attitude in examining Iranian cases.

این دادخواهی پناهجویان ایرانی مقیم اندونزی است. انسانهای بی پناهی که از ظلم نظام حاکم بر ایران گریخته اند و برای بدست آوردن یک زندگی امن, مهاجرت کردند اما در کشور اندونزی هم با تبعیضات و نابرابری ها مورد شکنجه و ظلم قرار گرفته اند.

ما معتقد هستیم که همه انسانها فارغ از نژاد، رنگ، جنسیت، زبان، مذهب و عقیده باید از حقوق برابر برخوردار باشند.

ما پناجویان و پناهندگان ایرانی به عملکرد سازمان یو ان اچ سی آر در کشور اندونزی معترض هستیم و روند بررسی پرونده ها برای ملیت ایرانی را تبعیض آمیز میدانیم. که این پروسه برای ایرانیان به کُندی پیش میرود و از این بابت بارها شاهد تبعیض بین ملیت ایرانی و دیگر ملیتها در بررسی پرونده ها بوده و هستیم.

وضعیت پناهجویان و پناهندگان ایرانی که از سالهای 2012 و 2013 تا به امروز در شهرهای مختلف اندونزی ساکن هستند به شرح ذیل میباشد :

1- پناهجویانی که با گذشت سه سال از ریجستر شدن آنها در سازمان یو ان اچ سی آر, تا به امروز پرونده آنها به جریان نیافتاده است.

2- پناهجویانی که در مصاحبه اول قبول نشده و با گذشت بیش از 4 سال همچنان در بلاتکلیفی و بی خبری به سر میبرند و جوابی دریافت نکرده اند. آنها بدون مصاحبه ای مجدد برای دفاع, برای بار دوم ریجکت میشوند و چنانچه بدلیل ترس و خطری که در کشورشان آنها را تهدید میکند, نخواهند به کشور خود برگردند باید تا ابد در این کشور در زندان باشند.

3- پناهندگانی که بیش از 4 سال است با وجود اینکه از طرف سازمان یو ان چ سی آر بعنوان پناهنده پذیرفته شده اند, تاکنون کشوری برای اسکان مجدد آنها در نظر گرفته نشده است و سازمان یو ان اچ سی آر در برابر اعتراض آنها (مبنی براینکه چرا ایرانیان به کشور سوم معرفی نمیشوند) اظهار میدارد که کشورهای سوم پناهنده ایرانی نمیپذیرند.

ما سالهاست که در بلاتکلیفی و بی خبری از روند پرونده خود بسر میبریم و این در شرایطی ست که سازمان یو ان اچ سی آر که نماینده سازمان ملل است , پاسخ گو نیست.

همچنین ما به عنوان پناهنده باید از حق داشتن مترجم ایرانی در روند بررسی پرونده برخوردار باشیم , اما این حق از پناهجویان ایرانی که در کشور اندونزی هستند دریغ شده است و مترجمان افغان, کار ترجمه را انجام میدهند که از نظر گویش کاملن با ایرانیان متفاوت هستند و این امر باعث مشکلات زیادی شده است و بسیاری از موارد ریجکت ایرانیان به همین دلیل بوده است.

ما نمیتوانیم یک زندگی آرام و امن داشته باشیم چون از حقوق ابتدایی محروم هستیم .برای امرار معاش زندگی با مشکل مواجه هستیم و دولت اندونزی به ما اجازه کار نمیدهد. فرزندانمان حق تحصیل ندارند.و همچنین حق جابجایی بین شهرها را هم نداریم و در واقع در یک شهر زندانی هستیم .

ما خواهان عملکرد صحیح ,عادلانه و بدون تبعیض در بررسی پرونده های ملیت ایرانی هستیم.
