Iowa should legalize gun suppressors, having to ware hearing protection while hunting eliminates one of you senses that helps in the safe and effective ways to make a clean kill. Only law abiding citizens will pass the background test, criminals never follow the laws anyway.

Please get this done. I'm a musician and a shooting enthusiast. People around me at the range don't always have their ear protection on.

Look at any factual data you choose, silencers are not the tools of the bad guys as depicted in the movies. Statistics do not lie that states who have passed laws protecting their citizens rights of suppressor ownership have not had the blood bath in the streets anti-gunners try scaring you with.

Why were they banned in the first place. what is it about the 2nd amendment that says you can ban what you want and keep what you want. Shall not be infringed is what it says. Not maybe or shall be. Constitutional carry should be instituted as long as there is proficiency shown with the weapon wanting to be carried.

I live less then a mile from a gun range , gun range is almost in the city limits of a 12,000 population town , suppersors would be great for
iowa sportsmen with added income to the state.

I've been wanting a silencer since I had to sell mine when I moved to Iowa. If you want law abiding professionals to stay in your state you should allow these fantastic accessories.
