We Catholics of the Diocese of Lafayette ask you, Bishop Deshotel, for greater transparency, especially in this time of crisis in the Church. We ask that you invite some professionals from outside the Church or an independent group to investigate all past claims of sexual abuse and make public the results for the good of our Diocese.

We just want the truth. Its time to stop hiding things and actually face what happened. Dont protect the bad guys anymore.
BISHOP DESHOTEL DO THE RIGHT THING. PEOPLE ARE FED UP.
Enough is enough. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Open the books and let the real investigation happen.
The diocese needs a total clean out. If theyre doing nothing wrong then what is there to hide?? Get outside people in there asap.
Faith is hard enough lately without all these scandals hanging over our heads. We need independent oversight to regain any kind of trust.

So tired of the secrecy. Very sad for the victims who deserve real answers.
