I live in a neighboring community to Loftus, but I shop in Loftus and use the Local Library there every week. Since my moving to the village of Carlin How one year ago, Loftus has lost my bank branch there (Barclay's), my realtor (moved to Saltburn) and a number of other stores have closed their doors. It's a shame! Loftus is a lovely village and just needs an infusion of energy and funding to turn that tide back toward prosperity and community!

About time some funds are made available for Loftus, it is always overlooked.

Much much needed regenation to this area bring back the markets and great local businesses and bring back the amazing Feel of a once happy friendly place This little area was destroyed when the council decided to create estates for people who had been kicked out of the council estates in Middlesbrough and redcar. When we moved here 7 years ago the place was genuinely dangerous and we have seen a vast improvement already so lets keep at it and raise up this area and lift property value and open the closed down shops As a local business person I plan to run business seminars on how to start your own business with entrepreneurs from all over the uk and particularly the North East to help locals find the knowledge and confidence to start up.

In loftus they is nothing and what is here is to expensive it would be good to go shopping in our home town instead of having to get buses every where just to get something or cheap shopping it's crap up here no wonder every 1 moves to towns with shops

As a resident of loftus I really hope that Loftus gets this grant to develop the high street it is so badly needs.it’s a shame the street lets our village down badly. With all the empty shops and some which are open need some attention to make the high street look it’s best which it definitely doesn’t at the moment.

Loftus is in desperate need of this money to boost our economy and to attract new people to come and live in our town it’s been forgotten about by the authorities for far too long! Enough is Enough! We will fight for this to save our town!

I don't think I can think of anywhere else in our Borough that needs the helping hand of investment as much as Loftus! Let's make it a town of specialist shops, where people come and spend money, call for coffee on their way to Whitby. We have so much positive stuff going on we just need that investment £2million not £20million to get this town back on track!
