The undersigned alumni have concerns about harassment within our school and the culture of our school. The email to alumni on 12 September 2025 titled ‘Leadership Update at Saïd Business School’ missed an opportunity for the school to be explicit about the stance on harassment, and failed to provide assurance sufficient controls are in place to avoid future incidents.

Because we deeply care about our school, its people and its future, we make the following request of the Board of SBS:

1. Complete an independent investigation into both harassment at the school, and the culture of the school

2. Share the investigation findings and actions with the school alumni community

We strongly recommend the investigation include:

- Review of harassment-relevant protocols, including: standards and code of conduct; procedures for conducting investigations and assigning outcomes/disciplinary actions; and the training on these

- In line with the above standards, a review of student and staff harassment investigations and outcomes from previous years to understand what gaps may be closed

- The Board’s approach to culture, including: values; culture strategy; monitoring and reporting; staff recruitment, incentives and performance management; and, risk management

- Interviews with current students to ensure they feel adequately supported

Our school has taught us to address organisational health issues proactively and swiftly. We trust that you will continue to uphold the standard.
