We the citizens of the United States demand that the FTC, the supposed police department for the citizens of these United States to investigate the entire oil industry. Or better yet, a third party investigation team should perform the investigation knowing how honest and truthful all the federal government agencies are (sarcasm). We are tired of being financially raped at the whim of the oil industry stockholders and CEO's. All oil companies claim to have record profits quarter after quarter in their stock reports...while the gas prices continue to rise each and every month. We smell more than rotten gas fumes here. Seeing the price at the pump rise $.25 to $.30 cents a gallon in a couple of hours with no real reason is just getting ridiculous. Rather than allowing the retail price of gasoline be based on speculation through the FUTURES market, why not have it based on a true wholesale - retail price structure like all other business models in the United States. Cotton T-shirts do not rise in price because of hail storms in the midwest even though cotton is sold under speculation on the futures market. But, when someone has diarrhea who works for EXXON the price of gas at the pump forces the price of gas to jump upwards.... why A full blown investigation on the oil industry is needed before by a third party for a true non-partisan result being that the White House and Congress is so tightly wrapped by the oil industry lobbyists in Washington DC, not even the FTC can give us a truthful report. The FTC does not work for the people, they work for business and protect their profits and stockholders.
