Having a level 8 degree in Early Childhood and working in a crèche which I love, I think it is ridiculous that after all my hard work and studying I am only getting €10.15 an hour. Which is why I am currently studying for my Masters in Primary Education and I am planning to leave working in a crèche. This needs to get sorted with the Government’s help.

Totally support any action that can improve the professionalisation of the sector, the respect or lack thereof for the educators of our vulnerable children, and poor funding for the workload being forced on us by the Government .

Remove admin from creches and give tax credits to parents. Let us pay creche directly and then claim back against our taxes.

It's time to show respect to these hatd working professionals. They are responsible for the care and education of some of our most vulnerable and valuable citizens.
Invest in their future. Children matter.
