A lot of us know the feeling- when you have an online friend who you connect with on so many different levels but the distance is ruining your life? Yup.
Internet friends are amazing things- you have somebody to talk to who can't impact a situation other than support they give, somebody to give advice, someone who calms you down when you're ranting mindlessly. But often, these friendships form when the two are a nightmarish distance away from each other- from England to New Zealand, Pennsylvania to Bahrain, Germany to New York.
So, here's the plan. We could start a television, broadcasted series called Breaking the Distance, where people go and help you find your internet friend, check they're real (and not a creepy pedo), and convince your folks to let you meet them. They help you to organise the best place to meet- publicly, of course, with family. They make navigating the distance easy-peasy... it would bring together so many hearts!

We are actually getting so near that one thousand mark and I just keep thinking about how wild it would be to finally see Breaking the Distance on a real screen. If everyone could just grab their phone right now and blast the link out to a couple of group chats it would be the perfect way to finally tip us over the edge.

I keep refreshing the page because seeing that number hover right before one hundred is honestly kind of nerve-wracking since I really want us to hit it before I draft the actual pitch letter. If you have that one specific person in mind who also spends all night chatting with someone thousands of miles away just send them a quick link because we need this momentum to actually show the studios that people are desperate for this concept.

I have been best friends with this boy who lives about 3000 miles away from me for over a year. Money and time has been holding us back so we can't see each other. I would love to be able to meet him and I am sure so many other people would love to meet their internet friends.
internet friends understand each other and it's so sad that some of us don't have the money to meet each other also parents would be more comfortable if they know that the person their daughter or son is talking with is not a pervert this show would help people a lot !!
I really want to meet my best friend(he's an internet friend) and I'm not exactly sure if my parents would let me just travel to see him, since they are too busy. If this show happens, I can finally meet my best friend!
AWWWW! I want to give you plane tickets that sounds so hard for you :( People never understand when you say you have a 'best' friend online but sometimes I think maybe our best friends are the ones we never see, because we don't judge them on anything but personality! ^o^
I met my bestfriend Meaghan on Twitter almost a year ago. She lives in Las Angeles Nevada, and I'm in Athens GA. I want nothing more than to meet her in person, but sadly we can't): I feel like this could help and I would be so happy if I got the opportunity to meet Meaghan.

This is so amazing. I recently met my internet best friend about 2 months ago, and I can't describe how amazing it felt to see them right in front of me, hugging me. I would give the world to see them again. This NEEDS to happen.
