Students in Kashmir have been the most impacted by the communication blockade and internet gag in the Kashmir valley since August 5th 2019. Education lies at the epicentre of development for any society. The students of the valley have survived till date but it is high time there their rights get highlighted.

The students of the valley have every right to go to school and get the same quality of education that anyone outside Kashmir gets. The schools resumed after 7 months break and when things started getting on track the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the closure of all educational establishments.

The Private Schools Association of J&K understands the loss of valuable time that our young scholars have to go through. Therefore it is imperative that the concerned recognise this and take the necessary steps towards providing our students with access to the internet so that they are able to save another few months of their budding life. Also, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has declared access to the internet as a Fundamental Right.

Private Schools Association of J&K is demanding restoration of 4G network so that schools are able to share online content with the students and the students are able to access available material on the web.
