I can't be charged for res yet I haven't been staying there since March due to the pandemic. I'm stuck outside S.A. because borders are closed but I'm still expected to be charged? Really unfair. We international students matter too, we are human beings not cash machines.

You cant charge people for a service you didn't provide. I agree with the petition because its true that international students will not be able to pay. The residence fee is unreasonable, there should not only be a deduction of fees for internationsal students but all students as the university has not provided the service to warrent the fee. During this time of crisis the government and university should consider the students requests.

This is only fair for the international students to be taken care of. I personally wasnt allowed to stay at my res and I eventually had to get a lease for private accomodation. I have moved out of res but was still charged for the 4 months I wasnt in res.

I absolutely agree to this petition, because the students that stays in residents must get their fees paid back if the students do not stay there. The residents do not even have to pay for so much water and electricity anymore. We as students must also be able to see our results, so that we can be able to know if we must write the supplementary exams or not and if we must peruse our tests.
