We start the course a day later than Australian students. It is unfair that AIB has reduced one day for us for assignment submission. With a full time job and family, I have been struggling to complete my assignment on time. Also on occasions I was not able to submit my assignment on time due to priority work commitments for which I was penalized with mark deductions. A reduction of another day will affect me seriously. I believe all internal friends must be facing similar situations. I sincerely urge AIB to reconsider their decision in this to allow us to submit our assignment according to our own time zone.

AIB are changing their guidelines and rules in more frequency which is detrimental to many students and is increasingly alienating foreign students. Without proper communications and fairness towards this segment of its student base I suspect that international students will elect to go to other institutions.

I agree that the assignment due-dates should be left in the time-zone that students are registered in. Just because we have access to the materials, doesn't mean we wouldn't be otherwise studying for the final exam, making that a moot argument.

We need more time to write the assignment to be able to assess all the theory and such and have a better chance to get better results.

I fully support this petition as it seems very unfair that we have a disadvantage of 16 hrs in comparison to the students from Australia.

Treatment must be fair to all students. The schools invites international students. Those people should not be at a disadvantage because of geography

I also totally agree that International students should not be penalized on assignment submissions. AIB should be able to work within the context of the Global MBA program. We already face some time challenges when posting or sending questions that we accept. I see this as a technical IT solution for AIB and the cost of doing international business. This should not impact assignment assessments as these already take up to 3 - 4 weeks to mark.

Please do not change the time zone submission to adelaide time as that is 16 hours difference and AIB will actually be robbing international students with this new change.

I fully support this petition as I feel that not only has robbed me of 16hrs of preparation time but has also failed on numerous occasions to remain overall accountable to the student population. I am becoming more inclined to believe that AIB is run as a corporation rather than an educational institution. Assignment and Exam results are constantly delayed due to lack of academic resources. Simply put the argument that AIB must streamline the arrival of all assignments to ensure timely marking doesn't bode well with me; what is 16 hours to AIB when typically the results are delayed more then 5 days past their claimed 3 week turn around time.

I am signing this petition because I just started my MBA and that 16 hours of loss regardless of how anyone can paint the picture is a bit unfair and I am with you all that feel that we should have the same advantage in the end of things as the Australian students do.

Please refer my several emails to and from Matthew Lewis and Quentin at student relations. I agree with the comments in the petition and find the new policy unfair to international students. I look forward to AIB's attention to this matter by which the trust between the international students and the institution can be regained.

In hindsight I think the tone of this petition is a bit negative however I do agree with fairness in the hours to submit an assignment regardless of the amount of hours.

I am very happy to be part of this petition. I feel like we are being discriminated against because of our location. I think this new time zone requirement should only apply to new recruits of the 7 week program as they have more time.
