Re: International Investigation of Sri Lanka Now.
Dear Prime Minister,
I
am urgently writing to you about the current UN Human Rights Council
Session in Geneva.
I respectfully urge India to take the leadership
role and propose an amendment to a U.S. sponsored Resolution, to call
for an Independent International Inquiry for Sri Lanka, at the current
UN Human Rights Council session.
I also urge you to use India's
important influence to create an International Protection Mechanism to
safeguard Tamils in that Island. I am confident that as the head of an
emerging international power and the only major power in South Asia, and
with the well-being of a People of risk at heart, you will consider our
request favorably.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
about time.
