The international inquiry we sought has been formally accepted. This outcome belongs entirely to you because I truly never imagined we would reach this point. I am still processing the news but I know we must remain watchful to ensure these promises are upheld.

Re: International Investigation of Sri Lanka Now.

Dear Prime Minister,

I am urgently writing to you about the current UN Human Rights Council Session in Geneva.

I respectfully urge India to take the leadership role and propose an amendment to a U.S. sponsored Resolution, to call for an Independent International Inquiry for Sri Lanka, at the current UN Human Rights Council session.

I also urge you to use India's important influence to create an International Protection Mechanism to safeguard Tamils in that Island. I am confident that as the head of an emerging international power and the only major power in South Asia, and with the well-being of a People of risk at heart, you will consider our request favorably.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I first put it up. This growth is entirely because of your conviction and not anything I could have managed on my own.

Enough is enough. The world has watched this go on for way to long. India needs to step up and stop protecting people who commit war crimes.

India used to care about human rights. Where is the leadership we were promised. Do the right thing.

How many more thousands have to die before the UN actually does something real instead of just talkin. An independent inquiry is the only way.
