Doctors need to be more aware of the countless of GS people out there with similar symptoms. It IS NOT asymptomatic!!

Definitely needs more recognition. Had symptoms for years before being diagnosed, then told by one doctor, its nothing and won't effect your life!!

Gilbert's syndrome in the severe sufferers like myself easily become ill due to their livers working at such a slower rate than most causing them to become continuously ill and work almost impossible at times.

I have had known about GS after treatment with severe diarrhoea about recent past six months...and the thing is that I don't get peaceful sleep during nights..my dreams are always with dark shade, terrifying with crude animals, snakes, and a stranger trying to harm me,hypnic jerk...
at this age I'm afraid of sleeping lonely and I feel inferiority in everything about me..i have sleeping issues since six years and is severe after treatment of gs.
my parents are superstitious,so they don't believe in science,I'm tired of browsing Internet for my problem...
One of two doc's said it is anxiety and a planned life doesn't have it and u will get a peaceful sleep..my imagination is that when all my friends don't have a planned life and getting good sleep then y can't i?
now I'm studying engineering final year and running out of backlogs...I'm very worried about my future career and sleepless nights..
kindly help me to solve my issues..

I have personally been diagnosed with Gilbert's Syndrome. I would love for there to be more research and more awareness for this debilitating disease!
