Standing from the term starting January 2016, InterHigh Education started recording lessons. I've asked around and some people, including myself have concerns. We don't see the point. The school have stated that it's in case of a Pupil-Teacher clash, but it's never happened. Another teacher informed me it's because Wey Education PLC, who bought InterHigh Education out purchased extra storage in a data centre, and they wanted to fill it. I'm sorry, but that's not a good enough reason. I also believe it's an invasion of my privacy, especially since students are not able to access these lessons. On top of that, the registered company address is in Mayfair, London. The Data Protection register from the Information Commissioners Office states an office in Wales. This is unlawful, and unfactual.

We'd like to put a stop to InterHigh recording our lessons. Here's a recap:

  1. In case of a pupil-teacher clash which has never happened.
  2. Extra storage bought in a datacentre
  3. Students cannot access the recorded lessons
  4. Data Protection address from the ICO states the old Welsh address, not Mayfair, London, the current address.

Some students, teachers and parents have told me they're not happy. I'm raising my concerns with the school directly, but in the meantime, let's tell Wey Education PLC, and InterHigh Education to stop this madness.
