My name is Phill Smith and this petition has the purpose to get intelligent Designism into the classroom with evolutionism. We have been learning evolution because it is a part of the school curriculum, and has been for long time now. So why are we just learning the evolutionary model of origins of life, and not the intelligent design model? If we brought the theory of intelligent design into the school curriculum, we would learn about both intelligent design and evolution, which gives the students an option which to believe (or not to believe). Since school should teach us how to think, and not necessarily what to think, incorporating both intelligent design and evolution would generate more educational discussion on the matter while opening the students' minds to think for themselves on the issues surrounding both views.
