We have just finished another election period where our TVs were bombarded with political ad after political ad telling outright LIES & misleading information.

According to the FTC:

When consumers see or hear an advertisement, federal law says that ad must be truthful & not misleading. The FTC enforces these truth-in-advertising laws.

Yes we are protected if someone wants to sell bread, but not when they want to sell us a politician. In that regard, the FTC has failed miserably.

It's time that this banana republic 3rd world country process of the candidate with the most money buying elections STOPS.

The candidates, those that produce the ads, and the media that shows the ads must be subject to massive fines & imprisonment.
