Dear fellow Catholics,

We have created this petition to demonstrate a desire among the Catholic faithful of the diocese of Charlotte, NC, to celebrate annually and liturgically, the Feast of the Holy Spouses, on Jan. 23rd. We have been instructed that if we could demonstrate a desire among the faithful to celebrate this feast, our Church leadership could consider adding it to the liturgical calendar locally.

This beautiful feast celebrates the nuptials of St. Joseph and the Blessed Mother. What better way to end the Universal Church's Year of St. Joseph than by adding another feast in his honor to celebrate going forward! You can read more about this ancient feast here: https://aleteia.org/2021/01/12/feast-of-the-holy-s...

Furthermore, this feast each year would follow a day of fasting, the anniversary of Roe V Wade, reaffirming the victory of marriage and family and life in the end! If you would like to be able to attend a Mass each year celebrating this anniversary and the God-provided role models in all virtues and in marriage that we find in our father in faith, St. Joseph and his most Blessed and Holy Spouse, our Mother Mary, please sign our petition.

With sincere gratitude,

the Saint Ann Home School Ministry
