It is obvious we need one at Boone, and St. Marie. Used to be one there a long time ago, I thought.

I grew up on Boone Street near the dead end. People who are familiar with this neighborhood know better to stop at the intersection, but people who are unfamiliar will roll right through the intersection without a second thought. In high school, I was almost in an accident at that intersection because a friend of mine was driving me home after work and he didn't know he should stop at the intersection. We almost collided with a car to the right of us that was going down St. Marie towards New Florissant Rd. Luckily my friend slammed on the brakes and we were ok. My friend’s comment “why isn’t a stop sign there!”.
Another dangerous thing about this intersection are the people who are driving down St. Marie towards New Florissant Rd. coming from Lafayette St. When coming from Lafayette St. there is a very steep hill that finally levels out between Clark St. and Boone St. When people are speeding, which happened very often, they would fly up over that hill, passing Boone St. in matter of seconds. So when you are driving down Boone St. and about to cross St. Marie, it can look like the street is clear and safe to cross, but a speeding car can come up over that hill very quickly. Imagine how bad an accident can be if someone was speeding down Boone St. while someone else was speeding down St. Marie over that hill.
Florissant needs to be proactive and put up proper signage now rather than waiting for something bad to happen to finally do it.

I live in Old Town. My kids ride their bikes and scooters on our streets. No stop signs at this intersection makes it a dangerous spot for them.
It reduces accidents so why not?
I did it for the extra credit
I did it mr. Harver
