Yes, it would provide a measure of safety to so many children and adults who walk on this street.

My children ages 10 and 14 use this crosswalk all the time to and from school, to visit friends, with their bikes, as a family biking into town, it’s always worried me. Please make it safer !

As a long term residents of the area, I fear the general area at night, due to the very minimal lighting present. It’s nearly impossible to be seen. A crosswalk with LED would greatly improve the situation and likely save others from tragic loss

I think this crosswalk is particularly hard to see because of the bend and rise of the road near the intersection. I've always been terrified for my kids to use it. Flashers would help a lot.

My son crosses over Butterfield daily at this exact crosswalk to catch the bus.
There should be bright, flashing lights at any crosswalk that is not at a stop sign or street light.
Thank you!

I would also like to see some public signage/awareness about driving under the influence. Not sure if the city does this or someone else, but it is important.

I would hope that other means of clearly highlighting and/or physically separating both the bike lanes and areas with sidewalks will be considered.

Carolyn was a friend. Ron is a friend. We loved their dogs Wryly and Danny.
Please sign the petition. Please don't let anyone drive a car if they have been drinking.

I live on Caleta and would appreciate increased safety at this crosswalk. The rise in the road makes the corner slightly blind and needs to be addressed. I am also in favor of more stop signs or additional measures
on Butterfield to slow people down.

I live at 379 Butterfield. The Caleta intersection is extremely dark at night and anything to better alert drivers would be a big help

Also need flashing lights at the Kenrick Ave/Butterfield crossing. Visibility there is terrible and incidents have been reported to police multiple times.

Walkers, runners and cyclists need better protection. I fear for my life everytime I ride a bike on Butterfield.
