The council don't make bad drivers, yet again another dig at council. Wake up... everyone is blaming council .. go to crossing with ya phone camera & film time after time bad, pig ignorant, disrespectfull driving. AS a driver the law says on approach to any crossing the driver must slow & prepare to stop the walker has right of way. The walker is entitled to step on to crossing at any time knowing the cars will stop..THAT'S the law... but most drivers don't & won't stop.. THAT'S the problem. Not council...

Do we really need anymore accidents, on this zebra crossing, before the council will do something about it, a pelican crossing is a must .

This needs sorting & Quick!! How many lives is it going to take before Oldham Council stand up & be counted! If it was 'one of their own, or colleagues family members, then 'temporary road works pedrstrian crossing traffic lights & push buttons' would be in place right now! Come on IMBC, do the right thing, even if it means reducing Milnrow Rd / Crompton Way to 20mph immediately, until 'funds become available' to make it permanently safe!

Although the Council seem to be lagging back on alterring this crossing and do not think the figures with regards to deaths is correct. Over the last few years a number of people have had near misses with regard to accidents on this crossing. It should not take the death of a child before common sense takes over.

It is sad another life as been lost been lost before we make a radical change to the safety of our residents of Shaw. i feel as a resident that now is the time to have a pelican crossing. i am aware of all the logistical problems with congestion, especially when the children come out of school, but i am sure the traffic management companies can come up with a viable solution.
